The on-campus wellness center provides a year-round schedule of fitness classes for employees, and Gentex sponsors recreational sports leagues as well to keep you active – employees have formed cycling, running, and softball groups in the community.
At Gentex, our location is one of our biggest work perks. The campus features walking paths, indoor and outdoor greenery and water features, and comfortable, adaptable work areas, both indoor and outdoors.
Zeeland, Michigan has been Gentex’s center of operations for the past five decades. It is the home to the majority of Gentex manufacturing and corporate operations, and we hope it’ll become your home too. Grand Rapids, Michigan has become a satellite base of operations with the opening of Gentex’s Cottage Grove manufacturing facility as well as the engineering Tech Hub downtown at 25 Ottawa. A short drive from Zeeland, Grand Rapids provides many amenities and entertainment found in larger cities in an easy-to-navigate footprint.
There’s no better place to raise a family than West Michigan. The local school districts are top-notch and the area offers a lot of charter and private school options as well. For families with childcare needs, Gentex provides a childcare facility through its partnership with ODC Preschools in Holland. The center is offered exclusively to Gentex employees at a discounted rate.
Relaxing lakeshores dotted with dunes, rustic wooded wilderness, gorgeous trails, and some of the best boating, camping, hunting and fishing in the United States await you when you work at Gentex. A plethora of local and state parks as well as campgrounds are located in our region, making it easy to get away from it all – whether you’re looking for a lake to sail on, a forest to hike through, or a beach to relax on. When the weather gets cold, the activities don’t stop: local resorts provide ample opportunities for winter sports as well.
Grand Rapids and Holland provide entertainment opportunities no matter what you are interested in. Local events range from the Tulip Time celebrations in Holland to Grand Rapids’ ArtPrize and Festival of the Arts, events take place in our urban center year-round. While Beer City, USA is known for its breweries and cuisine, you can find plenty of concerts to see, sports teams to root for, and exhibitions to visit no matter what your interests are.
